My experience with the Power Plate


I'm not going to lie.  When I was first introduced to vibration technology I thought this was some silly gimmick. Images of the old machines, from the early 1950's, with belt straps that claimed to shake off the fat filled my imagination.

 

As my understanding of vibration technology grows and my personal experience with the Power Plate, I am now a believer. 

This technology started in the aerospace field.  Researchers found a way to stop the astronauts from losing bone density and losing muscle mass while in space.  The vibration machines managed to generate enough gravitational force on the body that it slowed down this process.  In return allowing the astronauts to spend longer periods in zero gravity.

Recently I've been training with heavier loads and increased volume. The Power Plate has helped me maintain my heavy training and avoid injury. Not only has the Power Plate helped increase my flexibility it has sped up my recovery time. 

The Power Plate is now a major element in my weekly training and recovery schedule.
